Ski season hiring calendar 2026–2027
Month by month: when to post jobs, when to apply and when to switch on Radar so you’re not late for piste opening in the Alps and Pyrenees.
Season doesn’t start on opening day — it starts when good profiles get locked in. This indicative calendar works for candidates and employers on Nevajobs; adjust by altitude and country.
August–September: get positioned
- Candidates: profile + AI CV + intro video ready; resort alerts on.
- Employers: first front-desk, kitchen and instructor listings (more competition).
- Review staff house and pay before publishing — avoid rewriting mid-funnel.
October: match peak
Highest useful volume month. Candidates: apply to high match, not everything. Employers: unlock >80% in batches and close chats within 48h. Waiting until November makes bilingual profiles more expensive.
November: close and paperwork
- Contracts, visas/permits and staff-house arrival.
- Last housekeeping and F&B seats — volume still exists.
- Instructors and rental: confirm certifications and kit sizes.
December–January: emergencies
Holiday peaks drive dropouts. Employers: Emergency Radar for day-critical gaps, not whole-roster planning. Candidates already on-site or immediately available have a clear edge.
February–March: second wave
- Churn replacements and February peak.
- Short contracts (6–8 weeks) attractive to mountain freelancers.
- Start thinking renewal or pre-contract for next season.
April: wrap and reviews
Close reviews, update your profile with the season done and save favourite resorts. Employers: archive which roles burned most credits — that guides August’s budget.
